Animal Reiki — A Gentle, Compassionate Approach to Wellness Our animal companions bring so much love into our lives, and they deserve the same gentle care and compassion we seek for ourselves. As a certified Let Animals Lead® Animal Reiki practitioner, I offer a peaceful, supportive experience that honors each animal's unique personality, needs, and willingness to participate. Every in studio Animal Reiki appointment includes a 15-minute pre-session phone consultation which will be scheduled after the session is booked. We'll discuss your companion's health history, temperament, current challenges, and your intentions for their session. I'll answer your questions, explain what to expect, and coordinate the most comfortable setting for our time together. How Animal Reiki Works Animal Reiki follows the animal's lead. Rather than asking your companion to lie still or receive Reiki in a particular way, I create a calm, compassionate space and allow them to choose how they participate. Some animals welcome gentle physical contact, while others prefer Reiki from a distance. Some settle into deep relaxation, while others move around, explore, or approach and retreat throughout the session. All of these responses are welcome. Reiki may offer comforting, complementary support for animals experiencing: • Nervousness, anxiety, or everyday stress • Transitions into a new home or family • Aging, chronic illness, or physical discomfort • Recovery periods following illness or surgery • Emotional distress or changes in their environment • Palliative care and end-of-life transitions Reiki can also provide a peaceful opportunity for relaxation, connection, and well-being, even when your animal is healthy. A Session Guided by Your Animal Every animal responds differently, and their comfort always comes first. Some need time to become familiar with me and the environment before settling into the experience. Occasionally, an animal may relax more readily without their guardian present. If appropriate, we can discuss allowing some quiet one-on-one time, provided your companion remains comfortable and safe. My intention is never to force an experience, but to create a space of gentle presence, trust, and compassion where your animal can participate in whatever way feels right for them.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy: To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please contact me at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $25 fee. If you do not attend your scheduled appointment or arrive more than 15 minutes late, your session will be considered a no-show and canceled. A $50 no-show fee will apply, and any remaining prepaid balance will be refunded. This policy applies to both in-person and distance Reiki appointments. Distance Reiki Session Policy: Your Distance Reiki appointment includes a 15-minute opening conversation, 40 minutes of Reiki, and a 15-minute closing conversation, all conducted through Zoom. Please prepare a quiet, comfortable space where you can lie down fully clothed and remain undisturbed. We will stay connected on Zoom throughout the appointment, ideally with your camera and microphone enabled so that I can remain attentive and available if you need support. Please join your opening conversation on time. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be canceled and the no-show policy will apply. Because deep relaxation and sleep are common during Reiki, I will gently invite you back when the treatment concludes. Please plan to be available for both the opening and closing conversations. If you are unable to participate in the closing conversation, your appointment will conclude as scheduled. Missed closing conversations cannot be rescheduled or replaced with a written session report. Professional Conduct & Client Boundaries: The Reiki Sanctuary is a professional wellness practice dedicated to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for every client. All Reiki sessions, whether in person or through Zoom, are strictly nonsexual and must be received fully clothed. Nudity, sexual comments, gestures, requests, exposure, or any other sexually suggestive, inappropriate, or harassing behavior are strictly prohibited. For the safety and comfort of everyone involved, sessions may also be ended if a client behaves in a threatening, aggressive, or otherwise unsafe manner. Any violation of these boundaries will result in the immediate termination of the session, without refund. The Reiki Sanctuary reserves the right to decline future appointments when these standards are not respected.
